Still Don’t Seem To Care By Talk In Tongues
Talk In Tongues have released their first ever music video directed by Daniel Kaufman with their debut single ‘Still Don’t Seem To Care’. The song begins with a reverb-filled guitar line, which opens up to a kicking drum beat and a pulsing synth line.
Indie-vocals soon fall into the mix, which are dreary, eerie and resonating. The video depicts the aftermath of a nuclear-family in a world of their own, trapped by their own devices and oblivious to the dangers they are in. You are left wondering what the beams of light constantly shown throughout the video are meant to symbolise, though. Alien lasers, sun beams – who knows?
The song is powerful and more for losing yourself in the music as opposed to singing along. It all suddenly comes to an end as opposed to fading out which leaves the listening room feel empty and bare, a strong, impactful finish. See it for yourself below.
‘Still Don’t Seem To Care’ will feature on the band’s debut LP, ‘Alone With A Friend’, available to buy from 19th May.
