The Best Rudimental Guest Vocalists
They’re known for their dedicated live shows, driven drum and bass, and intense production. But Rudimental are also famous for their guest vocalists. Track after track, they’ve been accompanied by some of the finest current and legendary voices during their journey of chart domination. Here, we rundown the best.
John Newman
One of the most intriguing tones of 2012 came from John Newman, and he was the first voice of Rudimental when they released their UK chart-topping second single, ‘Feel The Love’. The collaboration went so well, he went onto provide the vocals on ‘Not Giving In’ alongside Alex Clare.
Ella Eyre
The group’s next number one was achieved with the help of songstress, Ella Eyre. The rising drum-step and darker edge of ‘Waiting All Night’ went onto win the guys the award for British Single of the Year at the BRIT Awards, and confirmed their sound as their own. It’s no wonder they got back together with Eyre on their second album, ‘We The Generation’ for ‘Too Cool’.
Emeli Sandé
Just as Rudimental were coming into their known, as was Emeli Sandé. Often compared to Adele, Emeli features on two tracks on Rudimental’s debut studio album, ‘Home’, including the ever-inspiring ‘Free’.
Ed Sheeran
One of their more cemented vocalists to collaborate with, Ed Sheeran provides the vocals to ‘Bloodstream’. The track features on both Rudimental’s ‘We The Generation’ and Sheeran’s second album, ‘x’, and shows just what two current powerhouses can produce.
Bobby Womack
Perhaps a surprise for the drum and bass quartet to partner up with, the late Bobby Womack features on ‘New Day Coming’ on their latest album. An almost homage to the soul singer, it was one of the last pieces of work that he did before he passed away in 2014.
