The Best UK Acts At Subsonic 2015
Bringing unique acts from around the world to Australia this December, here are the best underground UK acts that will be at Subsonic for your listening and viewing pleasure.
Francesca Lombardo
Since her first release on Crosstown Rebels in 2012, musician, singer and DJ, Francesca Lombardo, has cemented a stirring, hypnotic sound all her own that is no doubt inspired by her musical background. Born in Italy, she travels around the world but always returns to her hometown of London.
Kowton
A dance floor heavyweight, Kowton is influential in house and techno, releasing a steady stream of groundbreaking material on his own Livity Sound label (which he co-owns with Asusu and Peverelist) as well as Hessle Audio, Hemlock, All Caps, Hotflush and R&S.
Max Cooper
It’s all about the sound-meets-visual experience during a Max Cooper live show, whether thumping techno on a 10,000-strong crowd at Awakenings or playing an intimate gig in Paris’ underground clubs. With his debut album, ‘Human’, in 2014, came his debut audiovisual show, ‘Emergence’, in the same year – just him and a lot of experimenting.
Enzo Siragusa
It is thanks to this man that we also have Seb Zito and Rich Nxt playing at Subsonic this year. Since the launch of his brand, FUSE, Enzo Siragusa has built a following of dedicated dance music fans, inspired a generation of new producers and taken residencies at clubs including Sankeys Ibiza and Space Ibiza.
Jenova Collective Feat Bridget Walsh
With a relentless energy and addictive sound inspired by house, drum & bass and glitch hop, Jenova Collective will be heading to Subsonic with New Zealand-born, Europe-based singer, Bridget Walsh. Guaranteed to deliver dance floor fillers that will leave your ears ringing the next morning, you can expect a whole lot of bass when the two join forces.
Catch this lot and a whole lot more at Subsonic 2015 in the Riverwood Downs Mountain Valley Resort of NSW, two-and-a-half hours from Sydney.
