The Breakfast Club Featuring Tiefschwarz (Ali) At New Guernica
The Breakfast Club featuring Tiefschwarz (Ali) (Souvenir, GER) will be coming to New Guernica, Melbourne on Friday September 7.
Germany’s Deep House Legends,Tiefschwarz, will be hitting Melbourne for a very special up close and intimate show, guaranteed to be a hit.
This will be the 7th instalment of The Breakfast Club series and with all signs pointing to this being the biggest show yet. The past few events have been at full capacity – The Breakfast Club has very quickly become one of the hottest brands in town – delivering show after show with huge crowds, awesome vibes, & some of the world’s elite DJs, let alone some of the best club sound that Melbourne has to offer.
Born and bred in Stuttgart, brothers Ali & Basti Schwarz, formed Tiefschwarz in 1997. Rapid success ensued with their debut single, ‘Music’ releasing on Francois K’s ‘Wave Music’ label, followed by the album Ral 9005 (eventually licensed to the London labelClassic Recordings).
Following a move to Berlin, they remixed the likes of Cassius, The Rapture, Missy Elliott, Kelis and Masters At Work followed by the crossover hit remix of Spektrum’s ‘Kinda New’ and the single ‘Isst’ off their 2005 long-player, ‘Eat Books’. Never allowing themselves to be tied down to a certain sound, their love of melody was demonstrated on their edition of the Fabric mix series.
Early this year the brothers proudly contributed the ninth instalment in the Watergatemix series. After years of constant touring, however, their Souvenir label has allowed them to lay down more permanent roots and settle back in Berlin. There is promise of plenty yet to come in 2012 & beyond for the Schwarz brothers’ imprint.
Don’t miss your chance at catching the one and only Tiefschwarz (Ali) for this exclusive & extended intimate performance on Friday 7th September @ New Guernica.
