Things To Do In Sydney – Shopping, Eating and Theatre
When you want to find something to do in Sydney, it can be a struggle to differentiate the good from the…not so good. Take our advice and head to these exciting and respected establishments, exhibitions and venues for the best things to do in Sydney this July.
The Chip Off The Old Block
If you’re missing that classic British charm already, The Chip Off The Old Block is a bar with pub grub, good booze and buckets of character that’s typical of London. Open Wednesday – Sunday from 4pm, The Chip has a concise menu of Brit classics like lamb and mushy peas, Ploughman’s supper and even baked beans on toast. They’ve even combined your two favourite sarnies to create the bacon and chip butty. Chuck in a brew and $5 drinks during Happy Hour every Wednesday – Saturday and we can hardly contain ourselves.

The Bucket List
It may be everyone’s favourite summer hangout, but the action doesn’t stop at The Bucket List this winter. Taking their Summer Sets inside, movie screenings will be held by the warmth of the fire, during which you can enjoy $5 tacos, $5 Hahn Super Dry, $10 margaritas and DJs playing music all night, plus free popcorn to snack on throughout the film. Live music will continue to take over this Bondi Beach venue on Thursday nights, so you can catch local artists and bands with a side of $6 Monteith’s Cider from 5pm.

FOOD
If you like eating out and going to the theatre, FOOD combines the two with a production on family, love and food, using their on-stage kitchen to cook up some tidbits for you to try. Written by Steve Rodgers, it tells the story of two sisters running a highway takeaway joint, which they transform into a restaurant following the entrance of a young Turkish traveller. The food you are welcome to sample is vegetarian and doesn’t contain nuts, so every audience member is included. Embark on the journey with the characters and get fed along the way!
