FRIDAY 13th RAP BATTLE featuring ILLMACULATE (USA)
2x World Rap Champion and Scribble Jam ’04 rap battle Champion Illmaculate is making his way from Portland, Oregon to battle Melbourne’s home Favourite Defron.
On the day there will be multiple national rap battles feat. Illmaculate (USA), Defron (Sassafrass, VIC) Planz (Warrnambool, VIC), Richo D (Hobart, TAS), Cryptic (Melbourne, VIC), Devast8r (NZ/MEL) , Decoy (Adelaide, SA) , Johnny Trash (Melbourne, VIC) , ReeJay (Melbourne, VIC) , Upokalypz (Melbourne, VIC) , Mason (Point Cook, VIC) and newcomer AiL (Pakenham, VIC) who won a spot in Got Beef by making it through to the finals at Verse Base earlier in the year.

Friday 13th January
REVOLVER FRIDAYS PRESENT EVIL EDDIE RICHARDS (FABRIC / UK)
Revolver Fridays are ringin’ in the New Year in super-style as Fabric’s Eddie Richards joins us in the cage for a late spot on Friday 13th November. Friday the 13th is a perfect occasion to welcome a bloke named “Evil”, but you don’t need to be afraid, he’s one of the world’s finest and most respected veterans of techno and house, having been a resident at Fabric for years and mixing what is considered one of the club’s seminal compilations, Fabric 16. At Revolver Eddie is joined by a couple of Melbourne’s finest in Lewie Day and Mike Callander, so it’s set to be excellent. Also with Mama Said in the front room from 1am.

Saturday 14th January
THE LATE SHOW PRESENTS: MOWGLI (ITALY)
Renowned DJ, producer, Deadfish Audio founder and unabashed Revolver fam – Mowgli – returns to Melbourne for a highly anticipated follow up to his sublime 5 hour set with The Late Show last January. No stranger to most of Melbourne’s clubbing massive, Mowgli has wowed audiences and destroyed dancefloors time and again locally and the world over. If you missed his set here last year then you missed a jaw dropping performance from a consummate professional, electing to open the front room and guide the night himself from start to finish. He tells us it was one of his favourite sets ever (it certainly was one of ours) and he’s itching to do it all over again this time around. With Ransom, Mat Cant, Nick Thayer, Who and Lewis Cancut plus Boogs from 6.30am.
As always The Late Show is free entry until 11pm if you wish to join us early and/or grab a bite from Colonel Tan’s. Entry prices are staggered after that: $10 until midnight, $15 until 3am and $18 thereafter. CIRCUS HORRIFICUS (TAS) with WHITE KNUCKEL FEVER (ex Machine Gun Felatio) & I AM DUCKEYE
On the 18th of January, Revolver’s guests shall have the chance to witness the ridiculous onslaught that is Circus Horrificus In the mountains of Northern Tasmania lurks one of the world’s most truly idiotic clown troupes. Samora Squid and Bridget Bridge are renowned for their extreme slapstick and stunt-based physical-comedy skits that truly test the durability of this unique pair of twits’ bodies. The final date of this mainland Australian tour shall be shared with Sydney’s White Knuckle Fever (Ex- Machine Gun Felatio) and Melbourne’s own chaotic rockers, I Am Duck Eye. The show starts at 8pm, with White Knuckle Fever kicking things off. This is sure to be a great night, as both bands are known for there extreme stage theatrics, as of course are the Sideshow Freaks, Cirus Horrificus.

Along with resident DJ Spidey taking you through dinner this week Lost & Found bring you Melbourne based music industry freak DJ Gupstar and Dan (I, A Man) will be playing you alternative hits and indie party anthems. Revolver favourite Shaky Memorial (Mary M) will finish off the night, well actually the morning playing classic indierock and whatever else she feel like. DJs spinning from 6pm – late. THE LAUGHING LEAVES (SINGLE LAUNCH) with special guests FLYYING COLOURS, THE FIRE ALIVE and DJ T RICH
The Laughing Leaves are launching their first ever single, Do You See Me, a psychedelic, surf-pop track that has been gaining serious momentum in the Triple J Unearthed charts. Supporting The Laughing Leaves will be the psych-rock outfit, Flyying Colours, wholl have you groovin like you’re on the happiest acid trip of your life. Also supporting The Leaves will be the alternative rockers, The Fire Alive: a progressive rockblues & roots outfit, whose unique tone and old-school attitude make them really stand out from the crowd. Revolver keeps it laidback and local early every Thursday from 6pm with Hans DC, Nikki Sarafian & Jake Judd plus vintage video games and half price Colonel Tan’s for 3181 residents, traders and Revolver members. After midnight things kick up a couple notches and run till late with Sam Gudge, John Doe, Sean Rault, Jesse Young and Hey Sam. Free entry!

The Late Show every Saturday night at Revolver Upstairs over two rooms from 8pm until 8am. Backroom rolls from 8pm sampling disco, boogie, cutups, afro, house and the rest. Front room gets going from 1am with upfront club and bass sounds. Nick Thayer plays his last set for a month or so ahead of his North American tour plus Ransom, Mat Cant, Booshank, Rex, Bish and special guest Spankie Hazard plus Boogs from 6.30am.
