TOEFL iBT® scores can be used by Accountants to meet English requirements

If you are a professional accountant who would like to secure a positive migration assessment, then you are going to have to meet your English proficiency requirements usually set by the professional accounting bodies for the general skills assessment.

Australia has 3 professional accounting bodies which are the ones who make the assessment for the qualifications as well as the needed job experience for those who have submitted their applications:

• CPA Australia

• Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ)
• Institute of Public Accountants (IPA)

These 3 professional bodies accept scores from TOEFL iBT® so that the requirements for the general skills assessment can be met.

The minimum total score required is 94, and these are the minimum scores you need to get for all 4 categories:

• 24 for Listening
• 24 for Reading
• 27 for Writing
• 23 for Speaking

However, there are those who are citizens of, or have a passport from certain countries exempted from these requirements as this is not made available for the skills assessment.
