Travel To Thredbo Jazz Festival

Thredbo Jazz Festival will be returning for its 29^th year from April 29^th – May 1^st 2016. The three-day celebration will consist of exceptional music, great food and wine and endless dancing, all taking place in the heart of the picturesque Snowy Mountains.

This year, legendary jazz guitarist George Golla will be accompanied by star singer Jackie Cooper for the highly anticipate spectacle, ‘Lunch with a Legend’. This rare experience will see George regale fans with a host of stories, while also playing the music that has earned him his legendary status.

Mahalia Simpson, star of X-Factor Australia will also be performing in the mountains for the first time ever. Accompanying these artists is a long list of acts, including Jazz artist Nairobi Trio and Dix Street All Stars plus internationally acclaimed hammond organ maestro and vocalist Clayton Doley. You can also catch the swinging root sounds of The Big Ol Bus Band.

This boutique festival will take music lovers on a music journey, all in the alpine village. It will showcase all branches of jazz – from traditional to modern, experimental to extraordinary, with both big bands and small bands through out. This years event promises to deliver jazz fanatics an unforgettable weekend, with some of the worlds stars of jazz coming out to shine in the intimacy of Thredbo’s various venues. Performances will take place in alpine bars, cosy restaurants, a nightclub, in the Outdoors Village Square and even on top of the Kosciuszko Express Chairlift!
