Vampire Weekend Announce Melbourne and Sydney Headline Shows For January 2014

Unless you’ve been living in isolation or have avoided the Indie music scene since 2005, you’ll undoubtedly know that Indie gurus Vampire Weekend have made a pretty solid name for themselves after topping the charts with foot-tapping hits from their unbeatable albums repeatedly.

‘Modern Vampires of the City’, their third release back in May 2013, was to be no exception. The album hit #7 on the ARIA chart and unsurprisingly climbed all the way up to the #1 spot on the American chart, making it the second time the band’s album has achieved a #1 status after 2010’s ‘Contra’.

So fans of Ezra Koenig and gang will be weeping with joy following this breaking news – the band have decided to add two extra-special headline shows to their Australia tour in January 2014!

In the wake of their headlining slots at Falls Festival in December 2013, the band will reside temporarily Down Under as they prepare to embark upon further travels to fans in both Melbourne and Sydney.

Swinging by Festival Hall on the 6th January 2014, the foursome will round off in Sydney on 8th January 2014 to honour Hordern Pavillion with their catchy, infectious and no-doubt explosive grand finale.
