Situated at Rear Laneway 222 William St, Northbridge in the earlier days Mechanics’ Institutes were places of learning established in the 1800’s to provide adult education to working men.  As the original public libraries, they provided an alternative “third place” to gambling halls and pubs. In this spirit Mechanics’ Institute Bar in Northbridge was established in August 2012.

Ezra Pound

Located at 189 William Street Northbridge, Ezra Pound was part of the first wave of small bars that opened in Perth in 2009. They took inspiration from the prohibition era in America, where venues were forced to sneakily provide libations without alerting authorities. It was with this in mind that they have created a welcoming, intimate, low-key venue that aims to remain hidden from much of the populace. They are known for their beers, cocktails, wines and the mouth-watering food.

Established 25 years ago it is one of Perth’s first Irish pubs and is located at205 James Street, Northbridge WA 6003. Be it good food, drinks entertainment or sport Rosie has it all. Well known for its lively atmosphere and friendly staff. You can enjoy live music every Friday and  Saturday from 9:30 till late and Sunday 6 pm till late.
