‘Wake Me Up’ Single Soars for Avicii

‘Wake Me Up!’ the new single by Avicii is officially out, and has sparked a phenomenal reaction. Having reached the No.1 spot in 39 countries, it seems as if Avicii might be on his way to making the biggest week one sales of the year.

Taken from the anticipated album ‘True,’ the catchy single has stormed a number of charts, going straight to No.1 on iTunes and selling close 90,000 singles in just one day.

Although plans for the video are underway, the lyric video on Youtube has reached over 19 million hits and counting. The Swedish DJ can look forward to the prospect of a video directed by famous photographer Mark Seliger, who has worked with the likes of GQ and Vanity Fair and shot with the Rolling Stones and Kurt Cobain.

No doubt the upbeat Dance track will continue to rise in popularity and in sales. The album ‘True’ will be released on September 16th 2013, by PRMD / Positiva. Keep an eye out for the upcoming video set to premiere on 29th July 2013.
