WATCH: Rihanna Gets Tattoo Hammered Into Her Hand
Impulsive as ever, bad gal RiRi is the talk of the town as her permanent souvenir from New Zealand is revealed in the form of a new tattoo, completed during a break from her Diamonds world tour.
A video of the 25-year-old getting inked (or more accurately, hammered) has been viewed by thousands of fans on YouTube already, as it depicts the tough cookie grimacing whilst being subjected to the traditional M?ori style of tattooing with a mallet, chisel and ink pigment.
The design, produced by Inia Taylor at the Moko Ink studio in West Auckland, is etched onto the star’s right hand, stretching from the tips of her fingers up to the middle of her forearm, and is inspired by the indigenous people of New Zealand.
It seems the star is no stranger to this traditional style of tattooing however, as this controversial new addition joins her already-acquired collection of body art – one of which includes a henna-style tribal dragon claw located on her right hand. This design was also said to have been done in a ‘traditional manner’ during a 2008 tour stop off in New Zealand.
So although it may just be an ink-ling, we have a feeling this probably won’t be her last!
