Paz Lenchantin directs the new ‘Classic Masher’ video

Pixies’ bassist Paz Lenchantin has put on her director’s hat for the band’s latest music video, ‘Classic Masher’, from the band’s new release Head Carrier.

The clip was shot in Los Angeles earlier this month and features Lenchantin’s father Mario Merdirossian as the pianist, as well as three friends – Hannah Vandermolen (driver), Adelaide Crocker (middle seat) and Virginia Rand (red lips).  While the graffiti was created by Jules Muck ‘MuckRock.’

Lenchantin, who has directed a number of short films and videos in the past, said about the ‘Classic Masher’ video, “Mephistopheles, the mocking and sarcastic devil behind every classic masher…Besides that, who doesn’t like a talking piano?”

Pixies just wrapped a four-date warm up  run in Southern California and will head to Europe this month for a three-week tour.  Check out the dates below.
