Xmas Garden Party Ft Dj Snake, Alex Metric, Marten Horger + More At The Ivy – Saturday 21st December 2013

Chinese Laundry is taking over the Ivy for one of their world famous garden parties with a line-up of epic proportions! With headline acts DJ Snake, Alex Metric and Martin Horger, as well as a set from midnight juggernauts, a live Kilter performance and Lancelot, with support acts from Sydney’s rising stars, this day requires an audience with a huge stamina for partying.

And this night is for a good cause, with costs and ticket prices kept as low as possible so that $5 per ticket can go to the Salvos Bushfire appeal. So by attending this event, you’ll be benefiting those who have lost their homes in recent NSW bushfires…which means you’re sort of obliged to buy a ticket, right? It’s officially the right thing to do.

DJ snake is sure to put on one of his trademark fun shows, the grammy-nominated producer has made describing a sound as ‘groovy’ acceptable again as that’s exactly the vibe he delivers. His 2013 Jeffree’s release “Bird Machine” has become a trap anthem, with the likes of Dillon Francis, Diplo, and Baauer, playing it at some of this year’s biggest festivals. And you’ve got the chance to hear it from the man himself…time your toilet breaks carefully because missing that will take a long time to recover from.

Alex Metric will be presenting his signature sound, which is an eclectic mix of Disco, Funk, Chicago House and Detroit Techno as well as Indie Rock. Bonus points for anyone who can decipher anything other genres he throws in on the night.

The final headliner is Marten Horger, described as delivering Bassmusic with an analogue soul and a helping of Electro…it’s a mixture that’s proved hugely popular over the last year with some impressive names; Stanton Warriors, the Plump DJs and Krafty Kuts have all demanded official remixes. You could try asking nicely on the night for your very own remix…fingers crossed.
