A Guide To Deni Ute Muster 2015
A festival set in the New South Wales town of Deniliquin, the Deni Ute Muster is a symbol of outback Australian lifestyle and culture.
Celebrating the Ute, many thousands of people gather in this picturesque town for two days, showcasing their Utes, listening to live music, camping upon natural open plains and generally just having a good time. Now in its 17th year, Deni Ute Muster is continuing its tradition on 2nd and 3rd October 2015.
There’s so much entertainment, it’s hard to know where to start. The best Utes in the world will be on display along with some amazing sports driving competitions and Ute competitions with $10k prize up for grabs for the Ute of the year; big kids can enjoy the carnival rides, or watch brave cowboys
take on the bull ride and little ones can meet Bob the Builder; or just chill out at one of the bars, the Bundy Bar, XXXX or Wine & Cider, providing much-needed refreshment in the spring sun. There will be a huge array of food available at the IGA Food Court, with picnic tables provided.
If you and your friends work in trades and fancy taking part in a challenge of skill, design and innovation, Deni Ute Muster will be holding the first ever Milwaukee Tradie Challenge, in which teams will have to put their heads together to build their own version of an outdoor dunny (that’s a toilet in Aussie lingo). Trust us when we say that this part of the program makes Deni one hell of a
unique festival.
When you’re not checking out the Utes from far and wide, you can enjoy live music from Ice Break performers on the Day Stage with the likes of Christie Lamb, The Distance, Paul Cowderoy and Mickey Pye.
Australian country and rock stars take to the Main Stage in the evening including bona fide legends, Cold Chisel, who kick off their 2015 One Night Stand tour at Deni Ute Muster; indie band, Birds of Tokyo, who most recently released their acclaimed ‘Anchor’ EP; country icon, Lee Kernaghan, who
will no doubt be playing a number of his 32 number one Australian Country Chart singles;
and Australia’s Got Talent runners up, The Wolfe Brothers. Also confirmed for this year are Adam Brand, The McClymonts, Morgan Evans, The Sunny Cowgirls, Adam Eckersley Band and The Pigs.
Camping is included in the price of a ticket – yay! – and there are three options to choose from: Ute Paddock, Non Ute Camping and Family Camping Area. Bring your tent, caravan or roll a swag out on the back of your Ute and wake up to the sounds and buzzing atmosphere of the festival.
So, what of Deni itself? A traditional Aussie town, Deni is nestled along the Edward River in the Riverina region of New South Wales. Its attractions are vast, and its CBD is surrounded by the picturesque river an amazing wildlife sanctuary and a beautifully tended town park. Other attractions are the stunning redgum forest, water sports, farmers market and farm tours to get to the heart of sheep-station country. Proud of its status as the Ute capital of the world, the town erected the Ute on the pole following the success of the very first festival – an icon in the town that you really can’t miss.
A ticket for Deni Ute Muster including general camping is $210pp + booking fee. Book yours at
