Angus and Julia Stone At Peats Ridge Festival

Originating from Newport, New South Wales, Sydney. Musical siblings, Angus and Julia have enjoyed massive success in both Australia and around the globe.

Formed in early 2006 The duo’s strong acoustic-folk influence and tasteful, less-is-more song writing approach had them wasting no time achieving commercial success, their critically acclaimed first album ‘A Book Like This’ peaking at No.6 in the Aria charts which led to four years of international touring and several further releases including the ‘Just A Boy’ EP.

2010 saw the pair establish themselves as the band of the moment with their second feature length offering, ‘Down the Way’ topping the Australian charts as well as picking them up three ARIA awards including album of the year and single of the year for ‘Big Jet Plane’. This year saw more of the same with ‘Big Jet Plane’ wining song of the year as well as the pair receiving the songwriter of the year award at the 2011 APRA awards.
