Anti-Lockout Protest In Sydney
For anyone that’s had enough of the city shutting down at 3am, there’s an anti-lockout law protest happening in Hyde Park on Sunday 13th September. But it’s not all about chanting and waving your fist about, because the organisers have decided it’s a great excuse for a bit of a party.
Reclaim The Streets will do what they have done since the mid 1990s and take to the streets of Sydney to demand for change. Kicking off at 1pm in Hyde Park, the protest will move through the city, but it won’t just be about the lockout laws. Reclaim The Streets will use this time to raise awareness on affordable rent, street art, party permits, cycle ways, sustainable living and freeing the nipple. In fact, they have 99 reasons to be taking to the streets of Sydney, and you can see them all here.
Join Reclaim The Streets for the street party protest this Sunday, where stages will welcome live acts to entertain you throughout the day.
