Apogee Halloween Special At The Lightbox- Friday 2nd November
Trick or Treat! This Halloween we have a spookily good line up that will haunt you into the early hours of the morn…and oh yes, we expect nothing less than fancy dress!
Headlining the event will be no other than the Chicago House legend himself Chez Damier. A legendary figure in electronic music, who has played close witness to many of the pivotal moments in the history of house and techno, has decided to drop by and celebrate Halloween with us!
Jointly responsible with partner Ron Trent for both Prescription Records – widely recognised as one of the greatest labels of all time – and The Morning Factory, one of the most ethereal jams ever to rock a room, Chez Damier carries abound the true soul of house music. Alongside label partners Kevin Saunderson and Ron Trent, saw Damier create the musical legacy that would guaranteed his legend. Immortal cuts like ‘Sometimes I Feel Like’, ‘The Choice’ and ‘Be My’ – remain unparalleled examples of the house music genre, thus it gives us great pleasure to welcome Chez to London for his debut Apogee Show this Halloween!
Also spinning those discs alongside Chez Damier will be Will Saul aka Close. Producer and DJ behind two of the UK’s biggest record labels, Simple Records and Aus Music. His sound is based in deep dub, disco, house, and techno with flashes of soul and irresistible melodies that hark back to the early days of Detroit. Will has gained an admirable reputation and has been haunting dance-floors around the world for years and has just outed himself as anonymous producer Close.
So be prepared everyone as this will be one Halloween you wont forget in a hurry!
