Yaye Dib Sabar host Dakar Calling, the after party to the international event JUMPforJOY! They invite you for an evening of mixed Senegalese and world music from DJ Otto Nascarella (Saravah Soul) plus live drum and dance shows and ‘taneber’

Upstairs we join in the fun with CINE EAST film festival with the guys from Stop Making Sense Festival, Anomalous Visuals and {ourhistory} for a night of music, past & present clubbing culture feat awesome visuals.

Copperline is a new free-entry monthly alternative folk, country & blues night at BB. Kicking things off is toe tapping Americana from Killing Fields of Ontario, awesome guttural rhythm & blues Phillous Williams, as well as acoustic acts; smoky voiced Jennifer Left and 60s folk inspired Luke Sital-Singh.

Backbeat Soundsystem are an 8-piece funk reggae outfit from Cornwall. Laden with groove, think an English Fat Freddy’s Drop via up-kempt influences & an elated sun-clasped sound.

Soon after, our resident vinyl 45s aficionado, DJ Crash & Burn, keeps you bopping and jiving via rare Calypso, ska, rhythm n blues and rock n roll.

What: WHITE MINK ELECTRO SWING SPEAKEASY – LIVE: THE REAL TUESDAY WELD / DJS: BASTARDOS BROTHERS + CHRIS TOFU + NICK HOLLYWOOD + SWING PATROL

White Mink is the zeitgeist-capturing, critically acclaimed speakeasy where the sounds and styles of the 1920s and 30s are turned on their head and smuggled into the 21st century.

The Real Tuesday Weld perform live! Formed by Stephen Coates inspired by dreams of crooner Al Bowlly & American actress Tuesday Weld they’re influenced by 1930s jazz, Serge Gainsbourg and minimalist electronica. Expect amazing visual projections and a night of deservedly award winning tunes.

Joining them the swing and bass heavy, Bastardos Brothers, as well as residents Tofu & Hollywood on the decks. Lest we forget the awesome Swing Patrol, with their massive moves. More TBA!

Throwing hands is back in July with an extra special summery line up. Post War Glamour Girls will be performing all the way from Leeds. They play post-punk, art-rock, a mixture of experimental, left field versions of punk and other abbreviations of rock. Along with them Liz Lawrence will be performing with a full band- another amazing show.

The Biscuit Takers are a raunchy 4-piece Rhythm & Blues outfit that go beyond… The Biscuit Takers have an underground Chicago Rhythm & Blues style mixed up with other influences. They fuse Rockabilly, Soul, Country and Reggae with their signature original tunes into a red hot, thrusting, sound guaranteed to get the pulse racing like a dragster on heat!

Nice Up!’s DJ Shepdog & Trojan remixer Count Skylarkin join forces to bing you Backyard Brew – a lively schooling in bass-laden reggae, soul, hip hop, jungle & dancehall bubbling. Second Saturday of every month.
This month live guests are North London born six piece reggae band, General Roots. With a shared love of dub and dancehall reggae, the Generals are on a mission to bring a new sound to people’s ears whilst capturing the classic feel of Jamaica during the 1970s & 80s.

The OK_MA Live Review sees Young Lee & Jake joined by an amazing 4 piece horn crew, the ‘SUB-C BRASS SECTION’.

Our afro latin tropical boogie monthly shindig, The Other Side is back in the attic featuring DJs Chris Franck (Da Lata) and Tyne (Ceviche) presiding over a positively balmy election of musical treasures with a heavy nod to Afro & Latin through disco, funk, house, Latin – a sort of join the dots mix up from Haiti to Harlem.

Out of the Wormfood collective and featuring a diverse array of hyper-talented musicians from Congo, Gambia, Bostswana and the UK, Afriquoi combine live instruments, electronics and vocal effects to create live African dance music.

The Red Hot Grind Show are proud to present a night of exotica funk, burlesque boogie, electro-billy and cocktail crunk. This month they’re back at Bedroom Bar with The Dustaphonics, a group of musos from the Raison D’Etre London Collective. They form a history of rock and roll condensed into a night of 50s and 60s influences sounds and genre. As they mix styles varying from garage, soul, surf, RnB and blues it’s a gutsy set of wild and roaring good times.

Wednesday – Free / Thursday – £10 / Saturday £16
Weekend nights are followed by resident DJ’s untill 3.00am. Ticket price includes free entry to the club (unless otherwise indicated).
