
Blur Documentary New World Towers
Blur are one of the most successful British bands of the modern era, scooping a staggering five Brit Awards while changing the face of pop music.
Now documentary ‘New World Towers’ seeks to celebrate the men behind the music, while giving viewers an inside look into the band’s history. 2nd December will see ‘New World Towers’ in cinemas up and down the UK as, for one night only, Blur head to the big screen.
Directed by Sam Wrench, the feature film shows the recording of latest album ‘The Magic Whip’ and new footage of the guys travelling from Hyde Park to Hong Kong. It gives a thorough account of the iconic British band, whilst capturing on film the close relationship that quartet Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree shared. Since their inception in 1989 Blur have enjoyed a whopping six UK No 1 albums including the seminal ‘Parklife’, which helped to propel them to global stardom.
