Breaking Bad Meth Lab Lego For Kids
You remember your favourite toys as a kid…your Barbie and Ken, your Furby, your Lego Meth Lab…wait, what??
That’s right, a Danish toy company called Citizen Brick have created a ‘Breaking Bad’ inspired crystal meth lab for children where they can build their own drug dens. The ‘SuperLab’ also includes protective masks, drug paraphernalia, figurines and a toy car from the American crime drama programme.
The plot of ‘Breaking Bad’ focuses around chemistry teacher Walter White, as he decides to make and sell crystal meth as a way to secure his family’s income after he is diagnosed with lung cancer. Furthermore, he gets a former student, Jesse Pinkman, to help him out. Therefore the television shows main themes are obviously inappropriate for children; lung cancer, death, crime, drugs, selling drugs and all from a teacher, a member of society that children are supposed to look up to in admiration.
The creation is not to be mistaken for LEGO, however the item looks extremely similar to the brand. These 500 part sets are causing outcries from parents as these toys go on sale. However, despite the outrage, the manufacturer has refused to take the toy off of the shelves.
According to the Daily Mail, Citizen Brick told customers to ‘Soothe yourself with the Citizen Brick Superlab Playset. Who knows what fun you’ll cook up with this deluxe set, chock full of realistic details, and three exclusive minifigs!’.
It’s hard to believe that the Danish toy brand weren’t in fact on crystal meth themselves whilst creating the product. The only other explanation for it is that they are completely oblivious to society’s values.
