Bring Simon Cook Back Home To Australia

Simon Cook is an incredible tour guide who sadly has become seriously ill overseas. Unfortunately, his travel insurance hasn’t covered much of the costs to get him home. We want your help, to bring him back home to Australia. 

Simon “SIMO” Cook was living the dream in Thailand. He just completed his Dive Instructor ticket and was ready to show off the underwater world to thousands of travellers as he had done in Australia, when tragedy struck and he was rushed to hospital. Simo is paralized on one side and half his brain is not functioning. His family are currently with him and the medical costs are rising by the day. He is still in intensive care and in a coma. We want to eventually bring him home to Australia.

John Westwood is a Manager at Mulgas Adventure Tours running the fundraising program. He has worked with Simo on the Nullabor and along side him in the centre. After Speaking with another close friend Craig Howard, they decided they needed to do something. The gofund page was created, with an online auction and an event in Alice Springs being organised to help with the families ongoing costs. The money will be spent on medical bills and to fly him back home followed by ongoing care.
