Bruce Springsteen Adds New Dates To Australian 2014 Tour
It looks like Australia and New Zealand can’t get enough of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, who have announced three new dates to their 2014 tour across Australasia due to high demand.
They brought the Wrecking Ball tour to Australia earlier this year, where Springsteen’s manager and producer, Jon Landau, said that “the crowds were tremendous, the fans as warm, friendly, and welcoming as we could ever hope for”. So it’s no surprise they’re going back for more so soon.
The recently added dates, which will take place in Perth, Adelaide and Hunter Valley, take the total number of shows up to thirteen. Unlucky for some, but it’s not looking that way for Springsteen and co, who already have a number of shows sold out.
The 2014 tour starts on February 7th, lasting for just under a month, and marks their first ever visit to Perth and Adelaide. Bruce and his main backing band will also stop for two stadium shows in Melbourne as well as dates in other major cities Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland. Not a bad trip all round.
Pre-sale tickets will be available on September 23rd 2013, and will go on general sale on September 26th 2013. The group have previously collaborated with stars like Bob Dylan, Lady Gaga, David Bowie and Ray Davies to namedrop just a few, and music legends of the southern hemisphere, Hunters & Collectors, have already been announced to reform as special guests at the Melbourne AAMI Stadium date.
So all you Aussie-based Springsteen fans get yourselves down to one of the dates, you never know who else might end up dropping by…
