Bryde Releases New Single: ‘Help Yourself’
It’s been a whirlwind 6 months for Brixton-based Bryde, after receiving extensive airplay on Huw Stephens Radio 1 show she has propelled to prominence, reaching over 30,000 listeners since October on Spotify’s Fresh Finds playlist. She has released her second single ‘Help Yourself ‘and is about to embark on a tour that stretches across both sides of the Atlantic.
The second single released by this incredibly talented young artist is one that seethes with tension and fury, and builds throughout the song to a climatic crescendo. Joylon Thomas produced the song, having previously produced songs for Slaves and Annie Eve; his professional touch really shines through on this one.
The song touches on issues of self-empowerment and self-help in the face of a turbulent relationship. She sings with a deeply felt sense of dejection but ends the song with an almost triumphant tone. It is this rawness and passion that Bryde seems to exert into her songs that is propelling her to new levels.
Byrde will start her tour at South Devon Arts Centre, Totnes, on The 12th of March and will finish of at Rockwood Music Hall, New York City on the 21st of June.
