Cairns is a backpackers’ mecca and Cairns Central YHA Backpackers Hostel has all a backpacker needs for a comfortable stay.

The hostel is opposite Cairns Central Shopping Centre and is only a short walk from the Cairns Esplanade. Here, you will find lots of pubs, shops and cafés, plus Trinity Wharf, departure point for Great Barrier Reef cruises and day tours.

Cairns YHA Backpacker hostel’s 55 rooms include dorm, twin/double and family rooms. All are air-conditioned and many have ensuites.

GETTING THERE

Bus:
Cairns Central YHA Hostel is 500 metres to the Cairns bus terminal. All major coach services arrive and depart Cairns.

Train:
The Cairns Railway Station is across the road from the hostel

Plane:
12kms to Cairns airport. Airport shuttle meets flights and will pick up/drop off direct to the Cairns YHA Backpackers Hostel for approximately $12.00 one way or $17.00 for 2 passengers travelling together.

Other:
Parking – limited secure parking is available onsite. Please enquire prior to arrival to avoid disappointment.
Taxis offer 24-hour service and are conveniently located across the road.
