Coldplay’s ‘Mylo Xyloto’ Breaks Digital Sales Record In Australia
Coldplay’s record breaking fifth album ‘Mylo Xyloto’ has debuted at No.1 on the national ARIA album chart and has already surpassed platinum sales. ‘Mylo Xyloto’ also makes it Coldplay’s fourth consecutive Australian No.1 debuting album following in the footsteps of ‘Rush Of Blood To The Head’ (2002), ‘X&Y’ (2005) and ‘Viva La Vida’ (2008).
‘Mylo Xyloto’ also breaks the record for the highest one week digital album sales in Australia, so it’s no surprise that ‘Mylo Xyloto’ hit No.1 on every iTunes Music store last week – that’s 35 territories!
Following the release of the band’s current video for ‘Paradise’, the single has jumped to No.18 on the national ARIA singles chart and is the No.1 Most Added track at Australian radio last week!
Performing to a global audience live from Madrid, Spain for “American Express Unstaged” last week, Coldplay played an explosive set of never-before-played-live new tracks from ‘Mylo Xyloto’, hits from their back catalogue and a truly special version of Amy Winehouse’ ‘Rehab’.
