Day 1 – Amman
Arrive in Amman and be transferred to your hotel. Now is your time to settle in!
Day 2 – The Dead Sea
Drive north for an entire day at Jerash, one of the best preserved Roman sites outside of Italy. Continue to the Dead Sea where you have the chance to float by the shores in this unique, salty water.
Day 3 – Kings Highway
Depart Amman for an epic drive along the King’s Highway to Petra, with views of olive groves, and rural villages to keep you entertained. See the Roman mosaics en-route and Israel from Mount Nebo, before visiting Kerak Castle.
Day 4 – Petra
Have a full day inside the world famous Nabatean site of Petra, including a full guided tour with plenty of free time for you to explore on your own. Perhaps book the optional visit to Petra in the evening for the Petra by Candlelight tour?
Day 5 – Wadi Rum
Drive towards Wadi Rum and visit the site of Little Petra en-route. At Wadi Rum, you can experience the Bedouin hospitality and even go on an awesome 4WD jeep safari through the amazing desert scenery with its unique rock formations, huge cliffs and sandy dunes.
Day 6 – Explore Amman
Explore Amman today all on your own at your own pace, because later, you will be flying to Cairo (flight not included). Staff will meet you upon arrival in Cairo to transfer you to your hotel close to the Pyramids.
Day 7 – Cairo
Take a trip to the Egyptian Museum in central Cairo, which is home to the fantastic Tutankhamun. Next up, head to wonderful Giza, which is on the outskirts of Cairo to visit the Sphinx and the three great pyramids of Egypt.
Day 8 – Aswan
Arriving in Aswan, you will transfer to a hotel which overlooks the stunning Nile. Surrounded by lush green islands, and cascading rapids, you couldn’t get a better hotel location in Egypt. Begin your own tour of Aswan this afternoon, which includes a visit to the Temple of Philae.
Day 9 – Abu Simbel
Take the optional early start for the drive to the UNESCO world heritage site at Abu Simbel, which has amazing temples built by Ramses ll. Or, perhaps explore Aswan’s markets in the morning or even visit the Nubian Museum.
Later in the day, board the Nile felucca to sail down the Nile and prepare to settle in for the night.
Day 10 – Kom Ombo & Edfu
Wake up to breakfast on-board before visiting the temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu. Once finished here, the tour continues north to Luxor, a town that is built on and around the ancient site of Thebes.
Day 11 – Luxor
Begin a tour of Luxor’s West Bank on day 11, and explore one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. You might even be able to catch an amazing hot air balloon flight over the west bank of the Nile in the morning!
Day 12 – Karnak
You have a free morning to do as you please, and at lunch you can visit the huge temple complex at Karnak!
Day 13 – Train to Cairo
After an overnight sleeper train back to Cairo, you arrive back in the city and transfer to a hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring Cairo as you wish, or maybe even take an optional day trip, such as the Citadel or the Mohamed Ali Mosque.
