Dirty Projectors Unveil Hi Custodian Film

The band Hi Custodian have released a short film with music from their critically acclaimed album ‘Swing Lo Magellan’. The film was captured over the course of five days in April against the backdrop of Southern California and features recordings and alternate versions of their songs ‘Offspring are Blank’, ‘About to Die’, ‘Gun Has No Trigger’, ‘See What She Seeing’, ‘The Socialites’, and ‘Just From Chevron’, as well as other unreleased tracks.

Member of the band, songwriter and director, David Longstreth described the filming process as “made out of a dream”. He added: “It was so fun getting into these alternate personas, inhabiting them, and I think we came up with some amazing images.”

The film is available to view on Pitchfork TV.
