Leave the open road behind and explore this amazing region on a stylish and comfortable 4WD coach, journeying from Broome to Darwin with Kimberley Wild Expeditions. Witness the iconic Gibb River Road, the vast wilderness of El Questro, Purnululu National Park and the Bungle Bungles. Not only this, but you also get to see the beautiful Kimberley gorges, Bell & Windjana, with water-streaked walls that rise majestically to heights of 100 metres.
Fancy the exciting idea of sleeping in the outback? Well, this tour is camping based, so you can soak up the outback air in shared facilities for five nights. The other nights you can take in the outdoor atmosphere whilst bush camping for two nights and enjoy the incredible safari tent for another night.
Departing from Broome, the first stop is the Willare Bridge at the Fitzroy River. From here you depart and hit the outback, heading to the Oscar Range
and on to Tunnel creek, where a 750 metre tunnel passes under Napier Range. A local Bunuba guide will also be here to share his deep knowledge of
the area and cultural stories! The next day you embark on a journey to Windjana Gorge where you can take lots of pictures of the many crocodiles. Following the famous Gibb Road; the dirt track winds through the heart of Kimberley and you get to sample the remote areas of Australia.
During days three and four, you will encounter the Pentecost River and the famous El Questro Station. Next, take a hike in the crazy Cockburn Ranges for a swim under the waterfall at Emma Gorge and wind down with an Aussie beer at the station bar for the true Aussie experience. On days five and six, you will be able to see the enchanting scenery at Purnululu National Park.
Admire the stunning surroundings of the Carr Boyd and Durack Ranges before catching the sunset over the Osmond Ranges. Towards the end of your trip you will enjoy an overnight bush camp before snapping away at the Bungle Bungles rock formations and the views of
Echidna Chasm and Cathedral gorge. If you dare, then you can even take a helicopter ride and see it all in a completely unique light!
The final parts of the tour take you to Lake Argyle, Australia’s largest manmade lake, before delving into the Northern territory to reach the Katherine
Region. Take a relaxing dip in the refreshing Edith Falls before departing to Darwin – you’ll deserve it after this crazy adventure!
