Exit Festival Stands Out From The Crowd

The location; the magical Petrovaradin Fortress (we do love a good party in a fort) is jaw-dropping. The unruly Dance Arena plays out everything from techno to electro, to dirty house and house with a disco twist. The Dance Arena will keep you dancing all night long and with it’s big stone walls and tiered platforms, is considered to be one of the best rave spots in the whole world.

It’s not just the location that sets this festival apart from it’s rivals. More so, the line-up. EXIT is attended but over 60 nationalities of all ages and it caters for a broad demographic, standing the mainstream and the underground in equal stead.

This year sees an impressive line up of acts such as The Prodigy, Bastille, Ellie Goulding, The Vaccines, Wiz Khalifa, Stormzy, Ritchie Hawtin, Stormzy, Nina Kraviz and Jackmaster. The line-up also includes familiar DnB names like Andy C and Wilkinson and old favourites Goldie and Shy-Fx. That’s not all; American punk rock boys Anti-flag make a surprise appearance alongside Swedish death metal band At the Gates and metal group Paradise Lost.

This eclectic mix of genres is refreshing and it totally works. Everything about EXIT festival is inspired and what’s more it’s reasonably inexpensive (only £79.99 for a four day pass).

EXIT also has a little sister festival; Sea Dance set on the beach and not just any beach, the spectacular and very long turquoise beach ‘Jaz Beach’ voted ‘Europe’s Best Beach’ by Lonely Planet. The line-up is lead by Skrillex, Hurts, Lost Frequencies, Sister Bliss (Faithless DJ set), Andy C, Zomboy, Shy FX, Sub Focus. Tickets come in at under £50 and what’s more, you can combine the two festivals for less than 100 quid.
