Exit Records Celebrates 10th Birthday
Reaching a decade of existence is no easy feat for any label, but Exit Records has done so with a clear purpose and dedication to its mission statement from its inception. Founded by one of D&B’s most lauded figures, dBridge started the label after playing a pivotal role in collectives Future Forces and Bad Company. The label are celebrating their decade at the top on Friday 12th April at Fire, in London.
Not one to forget his roots he’s bringing back two of his former Bad Company family members – Maldini and Vegas for a one-off set that will roll back the years to re-live their classic material.
There will also be a host of themed sets covering some of the labels major influences. Digital Soundboy’s Breakage will dust off some old wax for a one-off classics set to fit in with the celebratory birthday theme whilst Doc Scott will be giving a lesson in foundation D&B sounds with a special set dedicated to the legendary Blue Note club. West country boys Krust and Die will be playing with each other in a strictly Bristol only Dubplate set. Also joining in on the birthday celebrations will be the ever-reliable Calibre, Soul:r’s Marcus Intalex and Commercial Suicide head honcho Klute. This is a line-up that defines the labels past while giving a firm nod to where it’s heading in the future.
