7. You’ve Got Mail

Artist: Claire Bailey The arrival of telegraph lines to Mandurah in 1887 brought the early settlers, who relied on the Post and Telegraph Office as a gathering place, closer together.

8. Lady Bananas

Performer: Pore, Lady Bananas, and Ladie Poise A vibrant, interesting, and striking piece of modern art, this mural series encircles the structure in a contemporary urban style.

9. Abc

Artist: Anne Neil The first government school in Mandurah opened in 1900, and this cast piece, which is based on a line drawing of books and pencils, celebrates that event.

10. The Guardian

Artist: Celestin Hutchinson The mural depicts the formation of the estuary, the Bindjareb people’s lifeblood, and is located outside the Mandurah Community Museum.

11. Leviathan

Artist: Jerome Davenport, Blank Walls Joe Wilson built the Leviathan at the adjacent Agricultural Hall in 1915, but it barely made eight trips before tragedy befell. Only two kilometres from her construction site at Soldier’s Cove, the boat took its last plunge when severe weather hit. It is outside the Mandurah Community Museum that you may find this piece of art.

12. Blue Swimmer Crab – 3D Illusion Painting

Artist: Jenny McCracken

Posing with the world-famous blue swimmer crabs of Mandurah in this manner is both the safest and most entertaining option. Jenny McCracken is the most decorated pavement artist in Australia, and her interactive street art is on display across the Mandurah Bridge. 13. War Memorial

15. THE HEART

Artist: Gary Aitken  “Mandjoogoordap” means “meeting place of the heart” in Noongar, the original name of Mandurah. Mandurah became the official name after European colonization. Local artist Gary Aitken created the aluminium heart sculpture, and no trip to Mandurah is complete without posing for a picture within.

An adult pelican can eat up to 1.8 kilograms of fish per day and this one is particularly hungry and doesn’t like to share. Go to the viewpoint on the ground, get creative here and snap a fun pic.

How Do You Get To Mandurah From Perth

Just one hour from Perth is a gem of a city called Mandurah. Restaurants, fishing, shopping fun fares, resorts, grand hotels, beaches, homes, and Caravan Park.  There is a regular train from Perth Central Station directly to Mandurah. Plan your journey. Great Motorway connection to the North and South West There is a freeway to Mandurah, and it takes just under 50 minutes to reach Mandurah from Perth by car. The highway is called the Kwinana Freeway.
