A 1920s themed bar and restaurant, Father’s Office Speakeasy is a step back in time to when alcohol was prohibited in America, enhanced by vintage and art deco goodies, cosy couches and a celebration of the Chicago gangster.
Food here is good; the bar serves up chilli nachos, fries and BBQ wings as well as hot dogs and cheeseburgers, while the main menu is full of meaty meals from baby back ribs to the spicy chorizo burger. Drinks are in no way ignored; cocktails come in fantastically suitable names like The Mob Hit, Hanky Panky and Boston Fighting Irish Orange Sour, and almost all the wine is Australia-produced.
Regular deals make for a good old knees-up like Secret Recipe Punch Bowls for $39, $15 corporate lunches, DJ nights and Happy Hour specials.
