Missy HigginsFestival Director, Alistair Cranney, has created a lineup combining celebrated Australian musicians with up and coming fresh talent with the official announcement for the lineup at Gorgeous Festival 2012.

Following artists will be joining Missy Higgins and Dan Sultan on November 24 in McLaren Vale:

Gossling is the name on everyone’s lips at the moment. Gossling’s new EP International Living features the irresistible first single Wild Love, which was co-written with Dann Hume. It is arguably her most accomplished work to date and solidifies her status as an Australian artist to watch. Prepare to be charmed, heart broken and delighted as Gossling enchants your ears and warms your heart.

The Preatures’ blend of gothic soul and rock & roll combined with classic songwriting has made this Sydney band a must to see with their live shows being deliriously charged and magnetic. Their second EP, Shaking Hands, was recorded in LA with their first single; Take a Card, available now. There is a seamless fluidity and charisma to the record that suggest a band on the edge of something spectacular.

Adelaide born, Butterfly Boucher, is a multi-talented artist who has toured with Sarah McLachlan as bass player and vocalist and produced Missy Higgins latest album all while concentrating on her own solo work. Known for creating smart indie-pop music with an alternative rock edge, Butterfly Boucher has released her self-titled album this year with the lead track, 5678.

Since the release of his first single, ‘Summer’, Hayden Calnin has managed to garner the attention of Triple J and it’s listeners with comparisons to Bon Iver, James Blake and at times Sigur Ros. At only 22, Melbourne based, Hayden has already begun to build a list of notable achievements. In 2010 he was 1 of 4 people chosen to perform at the APRA Song Summit alongside established Australian artists. In the first half of 2012 he toured with the likes of Matt Corby, Gossling and Mat McHugh. Hayden’s music manifests itself as honest, storytelling with a progressive edge.

South Australian musician, Johnny McIntyre, has a style and sound of old folk and blues that is reminiscent of early rock & roll recordings. Finding inspiration from the local music scene in South Australia, Johnny recorded his recently released EP, Fight the Fears, in the hall of an abandoned Adelaide Mansion. His album delivers his new solo sound with refreshingly honest and provocative song writing. Johnny performed on one of the Petit stages in 2011 and based on feedback from the audience has scored the opening slot on the main stage in 2012.
