Slovenian-born Gramatik confesses he never takes his music seriously – yet he still manages to throw out amazing tunes, with a healthy dose of Electronic beats fused perfectly together with Hip Hop, Jazz and Soul. Gramatik’s eclectic love and knowledge for music came from his older sister’s bountiful cassette collection. Gramatik now resides in the States, and will be touring extensively throughout Europe’s best music festivals this summer, including POSITIV festival and Switzerland’s Edge Of The Lake Festival. We hear more about what goes into Gramatik’s awesome tracks.

What was the first thing that went through your head this morning?
OMFG, I killed Jonah Hill in my nightmare.
So you’ve recently played at Red Rocks… how was it? What was the atmosphere like?
Atmosphere was #lowtemp.
What do you think about the sheer amount of festivals that are popping up across Europe?
I think it’s cool for bands and EDM artists to get exposure and make some money off it. For people like me that give away their music for free and are not signed to big labels, this is the way to get to our crowd.
So being that humour is important to you… how would you say you incorporate this into your music?
I make funny noises in my tracks.
You use some pretty epic, ripping synth riffs in your music; do you do all the production yourself?
I produce all my tracks and I have different musicians playing instruments.
