Happy Mondays Returns With Special Guests -Friday 22nd November 2013
This November legendary ‘Madchester’ band Happy Mondays are making a return to London for a 25th Anniversary Celebration of their first LP with a performance at The Forum, and they’re bringing some special guests with them. Who are they? We can’t tell you that…yet, what we can tell you this night will definitely beat your parent’s silver anniversary soiree, but try and keep that quiet.
Happy Mondays first announcement to the live stage after 19 years resulted in nothing short of a media frenzy, and a consequential rush for tickets, selling out two nights in May at Brixton Academy with a two-night residency at Camden’s heritage Roundhouse venue. With this in mind, there’s only one way to respond to the news of their return…quickly. With advance tickets at just £32.50 and the bands cult following, they’re sure to go fast.
Such levels of popularity come as no surprise, the 1990 album ‘Pills ‘n’ Thrills and Bellyaches’ happily coincided with the acid house and rave movement that dominated the UK, cementing Happy Mondays as one of the most inspiring bands to come out of England at the time. And for the fans, this inspiration continues.
Get your tickets and get set to relive the glory days. Doors open at 8pm and don’t shut until 2am.
