Get Warped with Hudson Mohawke In Melbourne

The Scottish glitch/beats/hip hop king Hudson Mohawke aka Ross Birchard is heading to Melbourne next month for a long overdue club show.

The Kanye West collaborator had Twitter abuzz recently after the news broke that the Scotsman would be creating the soundtrack for the next edition of the highly popular Watch Dog game series. Released last month on Warp Records, the soundtrack follows up ‘Lantern’, his sophomore album from last year which once again proved just why the producer is so in demand with hip hop and pop artists alike.

For those not aware of Mr. Mohawke, here is a quick rundown: He received recognition after making his mark in 2012 after collaborating with Lunice on their remix for TNGHT’s ‘Higher Ground’. The track clocked millions of plays online and set the tone for an astonishing career to come. What’s he done since you ask? You may need to sit down for this one. As well as writing his Mercury Prize nominated album Anhoni with Warp label mate Oneontrix, ‘Hud Mo’ has collaborated with music royalty which includes; Drake, Kanye West, John Legend, Travis $cott, Future, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, Pusha-T, Tinashe, Blood Orange, The Foals, Frank Ocean, Bjork and Antony & The Jonsons. Yikes.

With support from Friendships, Fossa Beats and GXNXVS, the Glasgow native is now heading to Melbourne to play a huge show at St. Kilda’s Prince Bandroom on January 6th.
