Jimmy Barnes Announces Dates for a Tour, Album & Documentary

Scottish born aussie legend Jimmy Barnes to set to have a busy couple of months. Barnes will accompany his new album, Soul Searchin’, with a nationwide tour of Australia in August. He’ll play six dates across the month.

Running alongside this will be an hour long documentary. Premiering on the 9 Network on the first weekend of July, the film with follow Barnes and he digs for old and forgotten soul records in the deep south of American.

Speak about the project, Barnes said: “The idea was to find more obscure soul songs that people may not have heard – the diamonds in the rough. I was just looking and looking for songs that for one reason or another were skipped over or they were too hard for radio or the singer was cross-eyed – for whatever reason, these songs were missed. I can’t wait to get to sing these songs again when I take them on tour. It will be wild”
