Kate Martin Unveils New Single ‘Awaken’

Kate Martin unveils her new single ‘Awaken’ on the 27th of September 2013 and wow is it pretty. The 22 year old proves that having an old soul prevails over physical age when it comes to her music with the single oozing maturity and wisdom beyond her years.

Gentle guitar mixes with soaring, layered vocals to produce an almost Stevie Nicks-esque track that is both sad and uplifting at the same time. The lyrics are filled with nostalgia for better times as a young child, and the beauty that the world has to offer. Stirring stuff indeed!

‘Awaken’ definitely makes us excited for the release of Kate’s upcoming album, out in early 2014. If the single is anything to go by, we’re looking forward to dreamy, folk-infused hits and plenty of cute, shuffling drum beats.
