Kendrick Lamar Causes Waves With Verse On Big Sean’s ‘Control’
Kendrick Lamar is keeping his rap homies on their toes! On Monday night Big Sean dropped his leftover track ‘Control’ which was supposed to be on his upcoming album, ‘Hall of Fame’. It features Jay Electronica and Kendrick a.k.a K Dot, who claims the rap throne as he names himself the King of New York (as well as the West Coast.) Not only is K Dot’s verse an envious name dropping fest, but the new King goes in on all his pals like Judas pretty much did to Jesus.
“I’m usually homeboys with the same n—-s I’m rhymin with/ But this is hip-hop and them n—-s should know what time it is/ And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big K.R.I.T., Wale/ Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake/ Big Sean, Jay Electron’, Tyler, Mac Miller/ I got love for you all but I’m tryna murder you n—-s/ Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you n—-s/ They don’t wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you n—as,”
After the release of the song, Pusha T was also quick to tweet, “I hear u loud and clear my n—a… @kendricklamar”
It’s not surprising that the response that followed from the HipHop community suggests that his rap homies are all rushing to the studios, doing push ups or maybe even crying in the shower with their clothes on with some old school R&B for inspiration.
