World-renown guitarist/singer/songwriter Kim Churchill is ready to hit the road for a national tour with Microwave Jenny and Benjalu from 5th April, hot on the heels of the release his second album DETAIL OF DISTANCE on 6th April through Indica Australia/MGM.

This exceptional line-up will traverse the country, kicking off on Thursday 5th April at Bluesfest. From there, the tour winds through Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and WA, before heading back into QLD and NSW, including what’s sure to be explosive shows in Kim’s home town of Merimbula & Benjalu’s home town of Newcastle near the end of the tour. On Saturday 12th May, they will be performing at Northcote Social Club.

At just 21 years of age, Kim Churchill is revered worldwide for his guitar talents, with a technique and lyrical outlook far beyond his years. His style is unique and explosive, with intricate fingerpicking, percussive beats on the body of the guitar, and two-handed tapping intertwined with an earthy stomp box, powerful harmonica melodies and soulful voice. His sophomore album DETAIL OF DISTANCE was recorded in Vancouver and produced by Todd Simko, the eleven tracks showcasing a maturing artist whose traditional folk/blues edge is developing with a rockier edge, an aspect clearly highlighted by the album’s first single “Season’s Grind”.
