Lana Del Rey – Blue Jeans

Having tempted us with her infectious single ‘Video Games’ 2011’s Newest Pin-Up Lana Del Rey is back with the second release from her same titled album ‘Blue Jeans’. Lana Del Rey has burst onto the scene in a manner not seen since Adele. The 24-year-old vintage flavoured temptress with the looks of Brigette Bardot and a hypnotic voice to match, became an internet sensation with the release of ‘Video Games’ on Youtube, and with Blue Jeans she presents us with what is arguably a better song.

Blue Jeans starts slow, with a plodding bass line and Del Rey’s already distinctive crooning leads into a chorus that you feel like you’ve heard before; before building into a frantic resolution. She has come across a mesmerising formula for songs; when she sings “I will love you till the end of time”, you believe it, and you want it to be true.

This girl has got a big future ahead of her.
