
Line Up Announcement For Splendour In The Grass 2015
Splendour In The Grass is returning to Byron this year and it is bringing with it a bigger and better blend of hot international performers to join the host of Australian acts. Here are the latest announcements from the Red Bull Music Academy stage.
For the Red Bull Music Academy stage, there has been some exciting news coming out of the camp with a list of top names being announced to grace the stage. There is a strong American contingent touching down for the festival, with Los Angeles-based hip hop DJ and producer Nosaj Thing, famed for the beats behind Kendrick Lamar, Kid Cudi and Chance the Rapper.
The Red Bull Music Academy stage is back for 2015 and it is set to blow out the water last year’s offering and Byron will again be the place to head to for a electric festival experience. Representing the home-grown performers are Charles Murdoch, Perth’s experimental rhythmic prodigy Catlips and upcoming Sydney singer/songwriter/producer Deutsch Duke.
Mark Maxwell, who is Red Bull Music Academy alumni joins the line-up along with more promising local talent with the likes of Adelaide’s Motez added to the line-up. Listen to eight fantastic originals from Motez and get ready for Splendour In The Grass.
Jay Z’s Roc Nation Label offers its contribution to Splendour In The Grass with Jay Electronica set to share his steady flow as the hip-hop vibe carries on throughout the festival. The New Orleans rapper will be joined on Saturday by Melbourne’s very own rapper, Baro who alongside Lucianblomkamp and many more to close the night.
Although the Splendour In The Grass festival has sold out its tickets, there is still a chance to make it to the event this year as Red Bull Music Academy are giving away 5 Double Pass. You’ll want to keep an ear to the ground with more announcements expected as the festival draws nearer.
