Little Mix UK Tour
Yes, as if we haven’t given you enough news of upcoming UK Tours today, but here’s another one that the pop-lovers of this world can get involved in.
After breaking the curse of the girl group on X Factor in 2011, Little Mix are back a year later after their success with an enormous UK Tour. The hottest new girl band in the country Little Mix have announced their debut UK tour for 2013. Taking in 18 venues across the UK, the tour includes a performance at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.
Signed to Syco Music, Little Mix have wasted no time in wowing live arenas and huge crowds on The X Factor Tour, at T4 On The Beach and as special guests on JLS’s 2012 summer tour. Their debut headline tour follows the triumphant number 1 single ‘Wings,’ which entered the top of the charts on Sunday, and their debut album, due for release in November.
Perrie, Jesy, Leigh-Anne and Jade said of the tour:
‘It’s so exciting that we’re about to go out on our first tour! We’ve spent most of the year recording our album and we can’t wait to see our fans again’
Little Mix originally auditioned for the X Factor as solo performers; under the tutelage of judge and mentor Tulisa Contostavlos they joined forces to become Little Mix. Having captured the hearts and minds of the nation with their winning chemistry, musical sensibility and breath-taking vocal prowess, the girls shot straight to No.1 with their debut single ‘Cannonball’. They returned last week with the acclaimed single ‘Wings’, released through Syco/Sony Music which soared to number 1 into the charts.
Built on a strident soul and r’n’b-flavoured rhythm and featuring an astonishing vocal turn from each member, ‘Wings’ marks Little Mix out as a truly captivating new act. The four girls – Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall – have taken their time working on music for their debut album and the first offering from it is a distinctive, attention-grabbing pop smash.
With the UK’s music scene in need of a fresh-faced, exciting girl band, Little Mix are blessed with the tunes and the personalities to stake their claim as the most thrilling prospect in chart music today. Don’t miss seeing Little Mix live next year:
