Locked Groove Announces Debut Australian Tour
Belgian producer Locked Groove (aka Tim Van de Meutter) has announced he will be playing two shows at the end of May in Australia.
Locked Groove will be playing Oxford Art Factory, Sydney on Friday 27th May and The Railway Hotel, Melbourne on Sunday 29th May. The Belgian knows how to flirt with big room having previously locked down venues such as Beghain with his techno or visceral deep house sound. He has built quite the reputation in the past few years earning himself a spot on Tiga’s label Turbo Recordings, Permanent Vacation, Hotflush Recordings, as well as establishing his own label Locked Groove Records in 2013. Now he sets his sights Down under for an Australian debut.
Locked Groove’s strengths lie in his uncanny ability to shift between industrial jams and the lighter, deeper tones of spritely Chicago house with real guile and finesse. Both sides of his medal carry strong currency, and effectively showcase his strong potential as a long-term artist with a bold, ongoing influence and true force to be reckoned with. He has released a number of different bodies of work including his double EP ‘Heritage’ on Hotflush, which received praise from respected names all over the industry.
This Belgian superstar will now be gracing his unique sound on the lucky fans in Sydney and Melbourne for the first time! He has just released his long awaited remix of Pional’s ‘Its All Over’ so expect to hear that thumping through the clubs in Australia at the end of this month with a variety of his other sounds to keep the crowd well and truly entertained.
