Mama Red & The Dark Blues At The Mustang Bar
Head to The Mustang Bar this Friday night if you fancy good food, beer and some quality live music.
The Mustang has a distinct feel of old-school Americana, with a pool saloon, arcade games, foosball and an expansive selection of American draught beers, not to mention the finest Cuban and Dominican cigars. There is a US-inspired diner and sports screenings on a number of large TVs around the bar. Best of all? Live entertainment, five days a week.
Friday night begins early at 7pm, with an hour of Mama Red’s eclectic swing-inspired jump blues performance. Her charming eclecticism has mixed tones of R’n’B soul and country rockabilly, combines with a subtly ironic flavour of pop.
Later on, at 11pm Flash Nat & The Action Men will take the stage. The cross-genre six-man band covers everything from 80s soul, disco funk, rock ’n’ roll and top 40s pop hits with an energetic and electrifying panache.
All in the heart of Northbridge.
