1. The National Museum of Australia

The National Museum of Australia, situated on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin, is dedicated to collect and preserve artefacts in an attempt to interpret Australia’s social history. Exhibitions 

The First Australians

The “First Australians” exhibition presents the lives of early communities whose diverse cultures are determined by diverse environments. These exhibits portray their enduring attachments to their land, continuing artistic practices and the impact of colonisation since 1788 on their simple lives.

Landmarks

The “Landmarks” exhibition brings the stories alive for you about how the British colonies established in Aboriginal lands, how settlers spread out and discovered gold, developed democracy, agriculture, mining, manufacturing etc. and built up the great nation of Australia.

Old New Land

The “Old New Land” exhibition brings you exhibits that explore and describe how the land and people, climate, flora, fauna and ecology have shaped life in Australia.

2. The Australian War Memorial

The Australian War Memorial is a tribute to the brave men and women who served in Australia’s military forces and died in wars involving the Commonwealth of Australia as well as in some conflicts in Australian colonies prior to Federation. It is widely regarded as one of the most significant memorials of its type in the world.

3. National Dinosaur Museum

The National Dinosaur Museum portrays the evolution of life, with a particular focus on dinosaurs. Situated in Gold Creek Village near Canberra, the museum displays the largest permanent collection of prehistoric specimens. Established in 1993, and going through major upgrades in 2012 the museum stands proud and entertains approximately 100,000 patrons annually.

Special Features for Children

The addition of 12 animatronic dinosaurs displayed at the museum has added much excitement to the younger patrons of the museum. The National Dinosaur Museum further caters for guided school tours as well as hosts birthday parties, dance events with dinosaurs for children, private parties, corporate functions and dinosaur sleepovers during school holidays.
