
Musica Viva Festival 2015
The finest musicians from around the world will gather in Sydney between Thursday 9th and Sunday 12th April, as Musica Viva Festival heads to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Internationally acclaimed talents include Israeli cellist, Mischa Maisky; Serbian pianist, Aleksandar Madzar; Armenian clarinettist, Narek Arutyunian; and Bulgarian-American violinist, Bella Hristova. In terms of Australian talent, guitarist, Karin Schaupp and pianist, Daniel de Borah will be taking to one of the seven beautiful concerts. As well as solo musicians, there will be collectives including the Doric String Quarter from the UK, the Pavel Haas Quartet from the Czech Republic, and the Orava Quartet from Brisbane, Australia.
As well as the artists, there will be many music experiences to get ticket-holders involved, including a talk with artistic director, Carl Vine AO, and other guests, plus a masterclass from Mischa Maisky on the Friday, and exhibitions called Meet The Makers.
