Not Yewe Too Rolf!
Operation Yewetree strikes again. And we hate to say that we predicted its next target, but unfortunately our suspicions as to who would be flung into its pallid limelight next were correct.
Wobble boarding, cartoon drawing, didgeridoo playing Rolf Harris has come under fire in the investigation and was arrested on 28th March 2013 under an operation known as the ‘others’ following the hundreds of sexual abuse cases that came to light after Jimmy Savile’s death last year.
The BBC reports, Scotland Yard said in March: “An 82-year-old man from Berkshire was arrested by officers on Operation Yewtree on suspicion of sexual offences.
“He has been bailed to a date in May pending further inquiries. The individual falls under the strand of the investigation we have termed ‘others’.”
Mr Harris, one of 12 people arrested as part of Operation Yewtree, has not yet made any public comment.
The police investigation has three strands.
One is looking specifically at the actions of Savile, and the second strand concerns allegations against “Savile and others”.
Although the Metropolitan Police have still not formerly named Rolf Harris, we sincerely hope that he didn’t blow anything else other than a didgeridoo.
If they bring Tony Hart into it, that’s it, we’re topping ourselves! Enough trauma to our 80s childhoods already!
