Novel Open Air March 2016
Held in a secret Melbourne location, Novel Open Air prepares to say goodbye to summer with an all-day bash, bringing with it some of the finest DJs and producers.
On Saturday 5th March from 2pm ‘til late, Open Air will take over an empty industrial space that’s just yearning for attention, and smother it with Melbournians looking to have a good time while listening to the likes of Cyril Hahn, Chrome Sparks, Client Liaison and Total Giovanni.
Cyril Hahn
Remix boy wonder, Cyril Hahn is most famous for his work on Destiny’s Child ‘Say My Name’ and Solange’s ‘Losing You’, while his most recent work has increased the demand for him to tour. Playing around the world at solo shows and festivals, the Swiss-native, Canadian-based DJ will hypnotise ticket-holders at Open Air.
Chrome Sparks
A.K.A Jeremy Malvin, Chrome Sparks is signed to Sydney’s Future Classic, the same label behind Flume Chet Faker, Flight Facilities and Jagwar Ma. Inspired by a background in classical percussion and an obsession with synthesisers, he creates dazed, melodic beat-centric tunes that loosely hang between down-tempo head nodders and up-tempo club bangers.
Client Liaison
Harvey Miller and Monte Morgan are Client Liaison, the story-telling duo describe their sound as “dance electric”, “new jack swing” and “pop ballad”, with a crowd-pleasing sensory experience that’s international in flavour and cosmopolitan in style.
Total Giovanni
Also representing Australia are Total Giovanni, a group that offers a visually unique and highly energetic live show. They can turn small venues feel like huge festivals, while their releases on Two Bright Lakes/Remote Control bring their wild poly-rhythmic jams right into your living room.
